[Damn it, that's exactly what he expected, but it doesn't stop him from whipping around all bristly and ready to pounce. She always knows how to push his buttons, he hates it.]
I'm not that old yet, geez!!
[He still has a whole life ahead of him, so much time, no potential wasted yet-
Whatever! He doesn't care. It might be dark, but it won't hide the pout on his face as he looks away all hunched over, shoving his hands back into his pockets. Stupid brat...]
If you're just gonna piss me off all night, lemme know now so I can just leave.
[Maya bristles up a bit, too fists balling up beside her to brace herself, not quite yet convinced he isn't going to come after her one day for all this. But like usual, he deflates, and she does as well- until she hears his complaint.]
Jeez. Now look who's being a baby.
[She mumbles, not too quietly, crossing her arms into the sleeves of her hapi.]
[HUFF HUFF HUFF. He doesn't want to fight, he comes up here to avoid arguing. He just wants to look at the sky and listen to bugs, surely Miss Baby can be quiet enough to let him do that.]
[At least Maya'd also prefer not to fight. She doesn't want to get yelled at by Morgan over this again, after all-- and especially doesn't want to wake up Pearl.]
...Fine.
[She exhales the air she's been holding in her cheeks in that dumb pout of hers, taking a few strides closer so she can stand beside him.]
But only cos Pearly's already asleep.
[Just so he knows. Maya stares up at the sky, too, after looking Dandy's way for a split second and sort of mimicking his posture without removing her arms from her coat.]
[Dandy catches onto the mimicking and is quick to straighten himself up. Q-Quit that, what the hell?!]
Oh yeah? So why aren't you?
[This isn't him trying to poke at her again, he honestly can't figure out why "PEARLY'S" sleep is so damn important, but Maya doesn't feel like she needs to do the same. Don't they, like...train super hard around here or something?]
[She answers, shrugging her shoulders, looking ahead. It's definitely not because she wanted to know if he'd be there again- and definitely not to avoid sulking with the sad thoughts of the day in the dark of her room or the quiet halls.
Maya doesn't look like she isn't tired, though. Her head isn't held as high as it is during the day, and she isn't bouncing on her toes like usual. She doesn't look exhausted by any means, but there's a definite lack of zeal.]

People are gonna hear us if you keep it up.
[Like he wasn't the one yelling.]

I like watching the stars too, you know.
